About the Owner

Meet Ron Degner

Ron Degner began working for small, independently owned plumbing companies right out of high school in 1994. He attended a four-year trade school during his plumbing apprentice period, and after completing the apprenticeship, he passed the City of Cincinnati Journeyman exam.

As a Journeyman plumber, Ron continued working with small plumbing companies. In 2006 he joined a national plumbing chain as a field manager. After one year on the job, he was promoted to general manager of a branch, a role he held for seven years before purchasing a national franchise location in 2015.

In 2015 Ron started a new phase in his career when he bought Zest Plumbing and Drain. The company remains dedicated to offering our customers top-notch service at reasonable prices.

With Ron’s experience working for both independent and national chain plumbing companies, he is able to apply the best of both worlds to Zest Plumbing and Drain – friendliness and personal attention of a family-run business paired with the organization and experience of a larger company.

Paris came to service the drain/sink in our master bathroom today. He showed up on time, was friendly/professional (even asked if he should take off his shoes upon entering our home), was very knowledgeable about the plumbing in our older home, gave us a couple of preventative tips and fixed the issue quickly. The drain has never worked as well as it does now, in the 2 years weโ€™ve lived here. It has a strong tornado swirl now. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Zest! Thank you, Paris!

Zest Plumbing employs true professionals. First, Cesar came out to address our concerns and make recommendations. He was very polite and professional -- explaining things in plain English. He presented us with some options (on an iPad), gave his recommendations, and we purchased. Two days later, Paris came by to install new toilets, correct something with our water softener (installed by somebody else), and run a camera through our main pipes. Paris was also VERY polite, professional, and took his time explaining and confirming everything he did. Again, I'm VERY impressed with the PEOPLE and SERVICE at Zest and would highly recommend them. P.S. As a tech guy, I was impressed with the use of the iPad for everything -- from presenting options and pricing, taking our payment, showing us pictures (and video), and e-mailing over before & after pictures for our records.
