Yes, and we install customer-supplied fixtures regularly. There are a few things worth knowing before going that route. First, verify that the fixture you have purchased is compatible with your existing rough-in dimensions, particularly for toilets, which have a specific rough-in distance from the wall that varies between models. For faucets, confirm the number of mounting holes matches your sink. For showers and tubs, confirm the valve trim is compatible with the valve body already installed behind the wall if you are replacing trim only. Second, customer-supplied fixtures are typically not covered under any labor warranty if the fixture itself is defective, since we cannot control the quality of equipment we did not supply. We will let you know if something about the fixture raises a concern before installation begins, not after.
It depends entirely on the scope of work. A single fixture replacement, such as a toilet, faucet, or garbage disposal, is typically completed in one to two hours. A water heater installation runs two to four hours depending on whether any gas line, venting, or electrical modifications are needed. A whole house repipe is a one to three day project depending on the size of the home and complexity of the routing. Water treatment system installations, including softeners and carbon filtration, are generally completed in two to four hours. For larger or more complex projects, we walk through the scope and give you a clear timeline before work begins so you can plan accordingly. We do not give vague windows and then disappear for a day.
We handle the full range of residential plumbing installation, including fixture installation and replacement for sinks, faucets, toilets, showers, tubs, and garbage disposals, water heater installation for both tank and tankless systems in gas and electric configurations, water supply line and drain line installation using PEX and copper, whole house repiping when aging pipe material needs to be replaced, gas line installation for water heaters, outdoor kitchens, fire features, and other appliances, and water treatment system installation including softeners, carbon filtration, and reverse osmosis systems. We also handle appliance connections for dishwashers and refrigerator ice makers. If there is a specific installation you are planning that is not listed here, call us and we can tell you whether it falls within our scope.
For water supply lines, we install PEX-A in most applications. PEX-A is flexible, corrosion-resistant, and handles Arizona’s temperature swings and hard water conditions better than rigid copper or CPVC over the long term. It also requires fewer fittings and connections than rigid pipe, which means fewer potential leak points over the life of the system. For applications where copper is required or preferred, we install Type L copper with properly soldered or pressed connections. For drain and vent lines, we use ABS or PVC depending on the application and local code requirements. We do not install CPVC on new work. In Scottsdale’s hot attic environments, CPVC becomes brittle over time and is not the right long-term choice for new installations.
Several factors in Scottsdale’s environment make proper installation more critical than in most parts of the country. Hard water at 16 to 20 grains per gallon accelerates mineral buildup inside fixtures, valves, and water heaters, so correctly sized and specified equipment lasts meaningfully longer than undersized or builder-grade alternatives. Incoming water pressure in the Phoenix metro commonly runs 90 to 120 PSI, which is higher than most residential fixtures and appliances are designed for. Without a properly sized and functioning pressure reducing valve, that pressure accelerates wear on every connection, valve, and supply line in the home. Attic temperatures in Arizona can exceed 160 degrees in summer, which matters for any piping routed through attic spaces. Getting the material selection, sizing, and support details right at installation prevents the failures these conditions cause.
Yes, and water treatment installation is one of the more common projects we handle for Scottsdale homeowners. Scottsdale’s municipal water runs 16 to 20 grains per gallon, which is well into the very hard category. Without treatment, that mineral load accumulates in water heaters, reduces flow through fixtures and valves, shortens appliance lifespans, and causes the scale buildup visible on faucets and shower heads. We install whole house water softeners, carbon filtration systems, softener-carbon combination systems, salt-free conditioners, and reverse osmosis drinking water systems. All systems are properly sized for household demand and flow rate, which is the most important factor in long-term performance. An undersized softener or carbon system will not keep up with demand and will fail earlier than it should.
